Ahmet Herdem, a prisoner in Adana, southern Turkey, has held his drawing materials confiscated during a raid at his ward, Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reported.
During his weekly phone call with his family, Herdem revealed that the justification for confiscating his pens was cited as "drawing party flags and symbols," yet he emphasized that no such flags or symbols were depicted in any of his drawings within his cell.
Herdem says he has been engaged in drawing since his incarceration in September 2020 at the Kürkçüler Type-F High-Security Prison. (AS/VK)
