Being taken into custody on charge of sexually abusing 100 students in a high school in Haymana district of Turkey’s capital city of Ankara, the school principal S.K. has been released after he gave his testimony.
S.K. was released on probation, İhlas News Agency reported.
According to Hürriyet newspaper’s article, Public Prosecutor Rıdvan Özkan had issued a detention warrant for S.K. after hearing statements of two suffered students and three other students who had information to share accompanied with pedagogs.
What happened?
Male students staying in school dorm of Nuri NektaşAnatolian High School in Haymana district of Ankara were allegedly seuxally abused and harassed.
The incident was heard after the students and their parents complained to Prime Ministry Communication Center.
National education inspectors launched an investigation based on the information they obtained from teachers and students staying in the dorm.
The principal was suspended from office.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir MP Müslüm Doğan submitted a parliamentary inquiry requesting be responded by Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz. (YY/TK)
