Press members who do not possess a press card given by the Ministry were denied entry to the area where the Conscience and Justice Watch launched by Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) is being held.
The watch is being held in Musa Anter Park in Van today following Diyarbakır and İstanbul.
Also HDP province and district chairs were denied entry to the park and only MPs could enter the park.
According to dihaber (Dicle News Agency), the MPs are discussing whether a party group meeting could be held in an area where the press was not allowed.
The MPs who will attend the watch which will continue for six days in Van are: Osman Baydemir (Urfa), Nadir Yıldırım (Van), Lezgin Botan (Van), Bedia Özgökçe (Van), Ali Atalan (Mardin), Adem Geveri (Van), Kadri Yıldırım (Siirt), Nihat Akdoğan (Hakkari), Meral Danış Beştaş (Adana), Mehmet Emin Adıyaman (Iğdır), Mehmet Ali Aslan (Batman), Dilek Öcalan (Urfa).
Yüksekdağ: "Together we can achieve justice"
A message sent by arrested HDP former Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ from prison has also been shared in the meeting.
HDP Van MP Bedia Özgökçe read out Yüksekdağ's message pointing out to all arrested HDP MPs who came into office through a democratic election as well as all the municipalities to which trustees were appointed and ensuring that justice can be achived when everybody acted in solidarity. (EKN/DG)
