Visiting Saudi Arabia to hold official talks, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has completed Umrah circumambulation by visiting Kaaba. Erdoğan’s wife Emine Erdoğan, Chief of General Staff Full General Hulusi Akar, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak and Chief of National Intelligence Agency (MİT) Hakan Fidan were with Erdoğan.
Erdoğan’s Umrah photos were published on Riyadh Daily (alriyadh.com).
Kaaba’s doors were opened exclusively for Erdoğan by Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s order. Erdoğan headed to kingdom guest house following the Umrah.
Erdoğan had performed Umrah twice in 2015, both were during his visit to Saudi Arabia for official talks.
What is Umrah?
The Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, performed by Muslims that can be undertaken at any time of the year, in contrast to the Hajj.
