The Constitutional amendment draft has been referred by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Prime Ministry to be put to the popular vote.
The legislation will be published on the Official Gazette if passed. The referendum will be held on the first Sunday after 60 days of its publishing on the Official Gazette.
Vice Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş said the referendum would be held on April 16. (NV/TK)
