What happened in 2009?
In 2009, out of 48,000,446 registered voters, 40,932,260 went to the ballots. The participation rate turned 85.19 percent with 39,988,763 admitted votes.
AKP received 38.8 with 15,458,985, followed by CHP with 23.1 percent and 9,218,445 votes.
MHP received 6,403,831 votes. DTP, on the other hand, received 5.7 percent with 2,271,566 votes. (BM)
