More than 90 percent of the public in Turkey is concerned over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to the latest edition of the Aksoy Research company's Turkey Monitor survey.
According to 78.2 percent of the respondents, Turkey should remain neutral in the war. Only 2.4 percent said Turkey should take sides with Russia, while 19.4 percent said it should take sides with NATO.
Among the respondents, 75.2 percent said they were "very concerned" about the war, while only 9.5 percent said they were not concerned.
At least more than half of any political party's voters were concerned about the war, the survey showed.
When asked about how would the war affect Turkey, 63.1 percent said, "negatively/very negatively," 23.2 percent said it won't be affected and 13.6 percent said it "positively/very positively."
The share of those who think the war will affect Turkey positively was higher among the voters of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and its ally Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). Yet more than half of both parties' voters said Turkey would be affected negatively or very negatively.
