Last night, Sirnak province police raided the apartment of Hanım Onur, a former jailed politician who was released yesterday due to her 2 disease-stricken children.
"Police raided my apartment saying that they heard gun shots. They only searched my place in the while building but didn't find anything," Onur told bianet.
Onur said she immediately hid her children, Solin and Mirhat, who panicked from the raid.
"When I asked them what they were looking for, they said I was hiding a gun. Then I thought it should be their way to say 'welcome' to me. So I gave them candy. And I said I was going to visit them on Wednesday anyways. But they searched the apartment and filed their reports. There was no detention though," she continued.
"I feel like I am born again. I am grateful to everyone who helped me see my children again. Solin was so happy to see me and wanted to sleep in my bed. Onur was so excited that he couldn't sleep all night and woke me up at 6am." (EKN/BM)
