The house of JinNews reporter Hikmet Tunç in Edremit district in Turkey's Kurdish-majority eastern province of Van was raided by plain clothes police officers and gendarmerie, JinNews has reported.
The teams informed the journalist that the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a search warrant on the grounds that there was a "weapon and bomb call". Surrounding the house with armored vehicles, the police and gendarmerie did not allow anyone to approach the house.
The house was searched in detail during the raid; the police and gendarmerie left the house after the search.
JinNews news agency has reported that no women police officers accompanied the search at the woman journalist's house, adding that no one has been detained or no material has been seized during the raid.
