Police have conducted a raid on Boydak Holding’s headquarters within the operations launched against the Gülen Movement.
The CEO of the holding Memduh Boydak and Chairperson of the executive board Hacı Boydak as well as executive board members Erol Boydak and Murat Bozdağ have been taken into custody.
It is claimed that Boydak Holding had been financing the Gülen Movement.
The Gülen movement is a transnational religious and social movement led by Turkish Islamic scholar and preacher Fethullah Gülen. The group is currently accused of attempting to overthrow the democratically elected Turkish government through a judicial coup in December 2013. It is accused of engaging in illegal wiretapping, blackmail and issuing threats. Investigations into the group are continuing. |
Within the investigation carried out by Kayseri Chief Prosecution into the Gülen Movement, Security Directorate Department of Anti-smuggling and Organized Crime teams have been sent to Boydak Holding Organized Industrial Site claimed to finance Gülen Movement this morning (March 4).
Detention warrant was issued on four high-ranking executives of Boydak group on charge of “providing financial aid to Gülen Movement” this morning. Boydak Holding CEO Memduh Boydak, its Board Chairperson Hacı Boydak, and two members of the board Erol Boydak and Murat Bozdağ were taken into custody in Kayseri.
