The police have intervened into the press statement to be held about the "Kobanî trial" heard in the capital city of Ankara today (April 26).
Before the press statement was made in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İstanbul Provincial Organization in Beyoğlu, the police closed the street where the HDP İstanbul Office is located.
As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), minutes before the statement began, the police closed the front side of the door as well, preventing people from leaving the HDP İstanbul Office.
Intervening against the group who wanted to go out of the building and make the statement, the police have detained several people, including Mezopotamya Agency reporter Enes Sezgin and Artı TV camera operator Bilal Meyveci. The DİSK Press Union has announced that the camera of Meyveci has been broken during the intervention of the police.
