Police fired plastic bullet and tear gas against marble playing children who allegedly threw stone at them in Cizre district. An eight-year-old child was hit in the eye.
According to ANF NEWS, taken to Cizre State Hospital by people around, child had a retinal detachment.
Because of the fact that child had a risk of losing his eyesight, he was sent to Diyarbakır province to be operated.
Child’s father told they would go to İstanbul in case that they couldn’t perform the surgery in Diyarbakır.
An investigation has been launched related to the case.
Police killed two children in Cizre before; Ümit Kurt (14) and Nihat Kazanhan (12).
First trial of Kazanhan’s case took place a week ago. (YY/BD)
