According to preliminary autopsy report for Yeliz Erbat and Şirin Öter killed during operation launched by İstanbul Security Directorate in Gaziosmanpaşa, some of the bullets hit them fired in close-range.

Law Bureau of the Oppressed attorneys given the autopsy report expressed that “Erbey and Öter were executed by being captured wounded”.
“Don’t talk” threat against eyewitnesses
According to the testimony of eyewitnesses, police opened fire from the outside on the flat without a warning nor a call.

The eyewitnesses talking to the attorneys, who expressed a mutual conflict erupted, stated that they were threatened by police officers to “not talk to anyone”.
Five bullets in close-range
The autopsy report has announced the cause of death as “internal bleeding due to armed injury”.

“There are five in and out bullet marks on right temporal region of Yeliz Erbay shot in close-range.
“There is one in and out bullet mark on left temple shot in close-range, six in and out bullet marks in the chest, one in the chest, and two in the vagina”.
“Police executed wounded”
The attorneys expressed that two women retaliated against police attack that started without any warning and with police fire putting public order in jeopardy:
“Our evaluation based on our investigation and preliminary autopsy report is that the women were captured wounded during the intensified conflict, and then they were executed by being fired on in close-range”.
“Urgent” confidentiality order
Law Bureau of the Oppressed attorneys expressed that they went to the court to submit request to meet Prosecutor Mustafa Kemal Gül for investigation follow up, yet the request has been denied:
“Our request to examine the case has been denied based on confidentiality order. We were told as to confidentiality order that we cannot be given the decision since ‘the decision was recently written and hasn’t been signed yet’. The only information we could obtain from prosecution is that crime scene investigation was carried out by prosecutor on duty”.
What had happened?
In the operation launched by İstanbul Anti-Terror Branch Directorate teams in Gaziosmanpaşa district of İstanbul, two women named Şirin Öter and Yeliz Erbay killed and four police officers wounded.
According to the reports on the newspapers, the operation was launched in relation to the explosion during Riot Squad vehicle drive by in Bayrampaşa on December 1, which left no casualties.
A raid was launched against a house alleged to be resided by those who carried out the attack on the vehicle.
Marxist Leninist Communist Party (MLKP) Armed Forces of Poor and Oppressed (FESK) had claimed responsibility for the attack. (AS/TK)
