Police entering at Cebeci Campus of Ankara University, and Bomonti Campus of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ) have intervened in the students.
19 students from Ankara university, and six students from MSGSÜ are in custody.
Police waited until writings were erased
According to information we have obtained from those at the university, there was a memorial at MSGSÜ for those killed in Kızıldere on March 30, 1972. First private security guards intervened in the desk, then police entering the school have taken six students into custody.
Police stayed at the school until writings on the school wall are painted over.
Detention at exam in Ankara University
A fight broke out between a group of students who wanted to memorialize at Cebeci Campus of Ankara University for prosecutor Selim Kiraz who was killed last year, and another group of students at aroun 12 p.m. Police entered the campus.
After the police left the campus, fight occurred again with the entrance of a group of 60 with choppers and clubs.
Police entering the campus have detained 19 students. Two students have been taken into custody during exam at the university which is in exam week. Police stayed in the campus for around 2 hours. (BK/TK)
