Those, who protest appointing trustee to 22 companies included in Koza İpek Holding that incorporates Kanaltürk TV channel and Bugün daily as well, waited in front of İpek Media building throughout the night in Mecidiyeköy.

Riot squad arrived with two TOMAs, the riot control vehicles, at around 4:45 a.m. Group of 50 people in front of the building protested TOMA and riot squad buses with whistles and clapping with placards and banners in their hands.
Police attacked the protesters with pepper gas at around 7 a.m. After the protesters were moved away by pepper gas, chains on the building door were cut, and police entering the garden asked the cameramen to stop broadcasting.

Upon the broadcasting persisting, TOMA attacked the protesters that gathered in front of the building again with pressured water. At around 8 a.m., police and police-accompanied trustee appointed by court entered the building.
Meanwhile, Kanaltürk's live broadcasts were shut, and in order to shut Bugün TV's live broadcast police entered program switching center entrance.
Police entering the building assaulted journalists, and took Bugün daily reporter Kamil Maman under custody.
Police do not let media workers in the building.
