Peoples' Democratic Party's (HDP) Conscience and Justice Watch, which started on July 25 in Diyarbakır, will continue in Yoğurtçu Park in Kadıköy. Police have closed all entrances to and exits from the park.
Police have barricaded off Yoğurtçu Park in Kadıköy district of İstanbul and prohibited all entrances to and exits from the park. Also Yoğurtçu street connecting Kadıköy Rıhtım street to Bağdat street has been closed to traffic.
HDP on "Conscience and Justice Watch"
HDP had announced that the Conscience and Justice Watch, which started on July 25 in Ekin Ceren Park in Diyarbakır and entered its eighth day today (August 1), would continue in Yoğurtçu Park.
From today's early hours on, police have surrounded the park with (anti-riot) water cannon vehicles.
HDP's new Co-Chair Serpil Kemalbay will hold the speech for HDP's Parliamentary Group Meeting at Yoğurtçu Park at 12.30 p.m. today.
March begins
HDP MPs leaving the party building in Halitağa street in Kadıköy, begun marching to Yoğurtçu Park at 11.50 a.m.
MPs Filiz Kerestecioğlu, Garo Paylan, Hüda Kaya, Ayşe Acar başaran, Mithat Sancar, Serpil Kemalbay and Nadir Yıldırım attended the march.
