Families of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and other three prisoners in the İmralı High Security prison have filed an application to visit them.
The lawyers filed an application for an "urgent meeting" with the Bursa Penal Execution Judge on November 22, as no response was given to their previous applications to meet with their client.
The judgeship rejected the application, citing the two new disciplinary penalties banning Öcalan from family visitation, the Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reported.
Öcalan, who has been held in İmralı Prison for 22 years, made a phone call yesterday with his brother Mehmet Öcalan after the last phone call on April 27, 2020. However, Mehmet Öcalan said the call was interrupted. (TY/VK)
