With support from the Swedish Consulate General in Istanbul Anatolia Culture and Wing Book cooperation started the project "A book to Every Child".
The aim of the project is to provide a series of free books to contribute to the education in Anatolia and in poverty-stricken districts of big cities.
10 books of Swedish writers were translated to Turkish in the context of the project. The books will be distributed to the children throughout the month of October in cooperation with the Çankaya and Altındağ Municipalities in Ankara, the Beyoğlu Municipality and the Bağcılar Atatürk Primary School in Istanbul, the Nilüfer Municipality in Bursa, and the municipalities of Çanakkale, Mardin, Şanlıurfa and Trabzon.
Additionally, meetings with the authors, illustrators and interpreters will be arranged for the children in each city, including reading sessions and interviews.
