The annual Perseid meteor shower displays captivated the lenses of photographers across numerous locations in Turkey.
The Perseid meteor showers represent a type of meteor shower associated with the Swift-Tuttle comet. Its name is derived from the fact that its visible radiant point aligns with the Perseus constellation in the night sky. The origin of the term dates back to Greek mythology, referring to the sons of Perseus.
Ankara
With up to 100 shooting stars visible per hour, this meteor shower can even be observed with the naked eye.
Phrygian Valley
This natural phenomenon occurs as Earth encounters cosmic dust clouds, resulting in its annual appearance during the same period.
Diyarbakır
While the Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak around mid-August, it can be observed starting from the end of July.
