PEN Turkey Center has released a statement about businessperson and rights defender Osman Kavala, who was re-arrested as part of an investigation launched into July 15 coup attempt shortly after the court ruled for his acquittal and release in Gezi trial.
Quoting the poem "It hurts" by late poet Turgut Uyar, PEN Turkey has "demanded justice for Osman Kavala" in following words:

"The poem 'It Hurts' by Turgut Uyar starts with the line 'I want to talk about unhappiness / Vertical and horizontal unhappiness.' Then, it continues mentioning the things that once attempted to shine, but could not do so, the things that dimmed away without shining. Around the middle of the poem, he will say, 'I have no idea what should be said. My love hurts.'
And we also say like Turgut Uyar:
My love hurts
I am unable to understand
My heart burns
My astonishment grows
My soul darkens
I have difficulty in understanding
I lose my hope
I want justice
We want justice for Osman Kavala."
