Kaos Queer Studies Journal, a new semi-annual trans-disciplinary journal, is now available on bookstores.
Departing from a trans-disciplinary and peer-reviewed academic perspective, the journal was released in the condition that its writers from all research fields will always be aware of the “sexualization” of knowledge and problematize it.
Why KaosQ+?
The publishers of the journal explained why they used the name “KaosQ+”:
“We have dedicated the first issue of our journal to the evaluation and discussion of queer theory’s main arguments and concepts. Along with the articles on this first issue, it was important for us to draw the institutional and political lines of the magazine in order to provide long-lasting responses on the question ‘Why KaosQ+’? The descriptional and tangible discussions of this theory’s contributions and intervention methods to the socio-political and activism aspects will be the common themes of this issue as well as the ones to come. Along with the peer-reviewed articles, we have also included various reviews, op-eds, interviews, translations and news pieces. ”
