The bodies of 3 slain Kurdish politicians - including PKK's co-founder Sakine Cansız - were transported to Turkey for funerals following a farewell ceremony held in Paris.
3 slain women's bodies were received by a huge crowd gathered on the steps of France's main forensics institute. Mourners coming from different parts of Europe headed to Place de Villiers Hall in Paris' Villiers-le-Bel for the ceremony.
A group holding photographs of 3 Kurdish politicians and Abdullah Öcalan shouted slogans in Kurdish praising PKK's leader, freedom and women.
The coffins draped in PKK flags were escorted to the hall through a corridor painted in Kurdish folklore colors - yellow, red and green. A huge banner that demanded for justice and a result from the murder investigation was hung on the conference room's wall.
Organizers said the bodies will be sent to Diyarbakir province tomorrow where they will be received by a massive crowd for ceremony. The funeral of Sakine Cansız was told to be held in Dersim (Tunceli) province while the funerals of Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez were told to be held in Elbistan district and Mersin province respectively.
