The Ministry of Health has announced the number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people by provinces from April 17 to 23, 2021.
According to the updated map, the highest number of cases was observed in İstanbul, Çanakkale, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli and Giresun.
The figures have shown that the number of cases per 100 thousand people was 854.75 in İstanbul (last week: 920.57), this number was 839.89 in Çanakkale (last week: 962.98), 772.20 in Tekirdağ (last week: 747.13), 721.80 in Kırklareli (last week: 830.44) and 706.23 in Giresun (last week: 624.22).
The lowest number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people was seen in Şırnak with 55.04 (last week: 47.60). It was followed by Mardin with 95 (last week: 93.83), by Urfa with 104.24 (last week: 91.01), by Van with 104.49 (last week: 89.01) and by Siirt with 123.84 (last week: 83.97).
As for the most populated cities of Turkey, their weekly numbers of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people were as follows:
İstanbul – 854.75 (last week: 920.57)
Ankara – 567.88 (last week: 534.14)
İzmir – 355.09 (last week: 351.97)
Bursa – 502.41 (last week: 500.57)
Antalya – 324.57 (last week: 301.65)
