Ozguruz.org Blocked Before Site Could Publish Any News

Broadcasting ban has been imposed on news website www.ozguruz.org whose Editor-in-Chief is Can Dündar before it started to publish any news.

Can Dündar announced the website on 24th anniversary of killing of journalist Uğur Mumuc, January 24, 2017.

Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) imposed administrative measure and blocked access to the website.

Following the ban, Can Dündar tweeted:

“Well, I was wondering where the ban has been. The one that banned the unpublished book, blocked the unlaunched website…it believes..We’ll see. Tomorrow is another day!” (EKN/TK)
