Platform of Children and Assertion of Their Rights has reminded on Children’s Day that children need to be in a safe environment for them to be able to use their rights.
"Families, state and the society should be informed for the child to be able to use his/her rights, and in order for this awareness to be used the society should be in a state to prepare the conditions securing a safe environment in which there is peace, tranquility and no concern for the future.”

In the statement it was remarked that children in Turkey’s actual conditions are deprived of this safe environment.
“Our children have been continuing to grow up in an environment in which their rights are not properly practiced and violence becomes ordinary.
“Especially in the recent period, not being able to establish an environment of peace and tranquility, and our country allowing huge number of immigrants affect the whole society as well as our children.”
Conditions must be reformed
It was also emphasized that in order for the children to become healthy, poised, and successful grown ups, child rights must be cared about and appropriate conditions must be established.
