An operation has been launched against Turkish War Colleges Commandership in İstanbul’s Beşiktaş district due to July 15 coup attempt investigations.
40 suspects have been taken into custody.
According to the CNNTürk’s report, İstanbul Anti-Terror and Organised Crime Control Bureau Office teams have launched an operation against Turkish War Colleges Commandership and arrested 40 persons including high-ranked soldiers.
Many computers, digital documents and papers have been seized during the searches in suspects’ houses.
The ones who have been taken into custody, brought to Police Department.
The searches in Turkish War Colleges Commandership are continuing.
Security measurement is still on-going in the area.
An operation had been launched against Turkish War Colleges Commandership on July 18 and 15 military officers had been arrested. (EKN/UA)
