* The rate of licensed women athletes in Turkey is 34 percent, while the rate of men athletes is 65.16 percent.
* The number of active women athletes is 297.986 (36,88 percent), this number is 510.081 (63,12 percent) for men
* The number of licensed women athletes is 4.001.245 (34,84 percent), and licensed men athletes number is 7.482.159
* Only three of 61 sports federation leaders are women
The Turkish Association of Sport and Physical Activity for Women (KASFAD) announced its "Gender equality in sports in Turkey in 2021" report in an online meeting.
The report which was shared by Canan Koca, the founder of KASFAD, revealed the situation of women in sports in Turkey.

No woman trainer in skateboard
According to the report;
*There are 976 disabled women athletes, 3.271 disabled men athletes in Turkey.
*There are 67 women board members of sports federations whereas this number is 842 for men
*This situation does not change in The Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC), There are only 4 women on board out of 16 members.
* There is only one woman on the Turkish National Paralympic Committees board.
*The number of women trainers is 87.025 whereas this number is 182 thousand 688 for men
*There is no women trainer in skateboard
'We need to fight together for equality'
Canan Koca evaluated the report's findings and said that there should be more women leaders in sports.
"There have been various developments in the last 10 years. Sports clubs are working hard for that. We need to fight together to achieve gender equality in sports"
