Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Aydın MP Süleyman Bülbül previously submitted Parliamentary questions and asked the number and gender distribution of all ministries' personnel.
According to the answer given to these Parliamentary questions, only the rate of women working at the Ministry of Family and Social Services (57.4 percent) is higher than that of the men.
The number of women working at the ministries of environment and urbanization, energy and natural resources, treasury and finance, interior, agriculture and forestry and trade is less than half of the men.
While only 7.9 percent of the 543,261 Interior Ministry personnel are men, 42,973 are women. The data shared with the CHP MP has shown that the rate of women workers in these ministries is 16 percent.
The number of workers at ministries is as follows: 28,283 women and 20,965 men at the Ministry of Family and Social Services; 5,368 women and 11,917 men at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization; 373 women and 781 men at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources; at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 22,921 women and 38,077 men; 7 ,489 women and 14,833 men at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance; 42,972 women and 500,289 men at the Ministry of Interior; 17,737 women and 47,506 men at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; 6,461 women and 13,542 men at the Ministry of Commerce.
