The Ministry of National Defense has announced that one soldier has lost his life in Operation Peace Spring area in northern Syria.
Releasing a written statement at around 4 p.m. today (November 4), the Ministry of National Defense has indicated that one soldier, whose name has not yet been announced, has lost his life while intervening against an improvised explosive device (IED).
Turkey's Operation Peace Spring into northern Syria started on October 9.
Making a statement on October 13, President and ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that two soldiers and 18 civilians lost their lives and 147 people were wounded during the Operation Peace Spring. Around the same period, two soldiers lost their lives in Syria's Azez province in Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield area. (AS/SD)
