General Staff Presidency has announced that one of the three soldiers injured in the clash occurred between security forces and members of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) yesterday (February 16) in Sur district of Diyarbakır had lost his life. It has been recorded that also one PKK member had been killed in the clash.
In the operations carried out within the curfew in effect since December 2, 2015 in Sur district, an armed fight has occurred injuring three soldiers. Sergeant Mehmet Ali Dinç who had been taken to Diyarbakır Military Hospital lost his life this morning (February 17). Dinç had reportedly been injured in the fire opened with kanas which is a sharp shooter weapon.
Dinç’s body will be transported to his home town Malatya after the funeral ceremony in?
State-run Anadolu News Agency (AA) has announced that 192 PKK members had been killed in the operations carried out in the operations. (AS/DG)
