Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the number of weekly novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases per 100 thousand people by provinces in the week of January 22-28, 2022 today (February 7).
According to the map, the number of weekly cases per 100 thousand people dropped from 1,245.73 to 889.58 in İstanbul while it increased from 725.62 to 1,003.30 in the capital city of Ankara and from 729.81 to 961.57 in İzmir when compared to January 15-21, 2022.
The density of the cases saw the highest increase in the following 10 provinces: Elazığ, Uşak, Iğdır, Tokat, Kırklareli, Rize, Kırıkkale, Isparta, Bayburt, Manisa. The numbers of weekly cases per 100 thousand people in these 10 provinces on January 22-28 were as follows:
- Elazığ: 800.39
- Uşak: 794.46
- Iğdır: 585.16
- Tokat: 743.65
- Kırklareli: 1,214.42
- Rize: 997.51
- Kırıkkale: 693.57
- Isparta: 570.06
- Bayburt: 533.51
- Manisa: 724.18
Latest data on COVID-19 in Turkey
The Ministry of Health announced the latest figures on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Turkey yesterday (February 6).
While the daily number of new cases has been announced as 87,934, 201 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Turkey in the last 24 hours. While 76,552 people have recovered in a day, the number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours has been announced as 412,352.
With 111,157 cases on February 4, 2022, Turkey has reported the highest number of daily cases since the outbreak of the pandemic. The highest number of daily cases before this was seen two days before, when Turkey's Health Ministry reported 102,601 new cases in a day. (AÖ/SD)
