President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan calling on to the people from Turkey living in Europe said: "Don't make 3, make 5 children. You are the future of Europe".
Referring to the ruling of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) that "an internal rule of an undertaking which prohibits the visible wearing of any political, philosophical or religious sign does not constitute direct discrimination", Erdoğan said: "Prohibit also the Kippa if you dare!"
Arguing that Europe was anti-democratic and against the freedom of belief, Erdoğan said that declaring State of Emergency (OHAL) was not a liberal attitude.
Some highlights from the speech Erdoğan held in an opening ceremony in Eskişehir province are as follows
"What is liberal about declaring State of Emergency?"
"The European Court of Justice renders a verdict. It bans headscarf. We have had enough! What about freedom of religion, what about freedom of belief? Prohibit also the kippa if you dare! Can you? They are all hypocrites.
"What is liberal about declaring State of Emergency when a minister of Turkey wants to come together with her citizens?"
"From now on, we will also deny permission to land"
"No offence, but for those who revoke landing rights of my Minister of Foreign Affairs, we also will deny permission to land". (CT/DG)
