Today (January 22) students from pre-school education institutions and primary and secondary level students are getting their record cards.
Yet 81,000 students from a district of Diyarbakır and two districts of Şırnak are not going to receive any scores due to curfews and armed conflicts.
In the first half of this education year, the right to education of 41,127 students in 104 schools in Cizre, of 39,128 others in 68 schools in Silopi and of the students in Sur were disseized due to curfews.
315,000 Syrian students
In Turkey, there are 17,535,236 students in total including 1,181,143 pre-school students, 5,360,703 primary level students, 4,873,431 students in high school, 4,244,699 secondary level students and distance education students.
In addition, there are 315,000 Syrian students in total of whom 80,000 are getting their education in camps, 70,000 in state schools, 165,000 in temporary education centers.
Second mid-term
Students and teachers will start school again on February 8, Monday after the mid-term break.
The second term of the education year 2015-2016 will be finished on June 10, 2016 Friday.
In the second half-year, 8th class students will take on April 27-28 joint exams within TEOG (Transition from primary to secondary education). Excuse examinations will be held on May 14-15.
The first stage of university entrance exams namely YGS (Transition to higher education examination) will be held on March 13, Sunday. (YY/DG)
