Hürmüz (72) and Şimuni Diril (65), a Chaldean couple from the southeastern Şırnak province, went missing on January 11, 2020.
Seventy days later, Şimuni Diril's body was found 800 meters away from their home in Mehre (Kovankaya) village in the district of Beytüşşebap whereas the fate of Hürmüz Diril has remained unknown.
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Deputy Züleyha Gülüm has submitted a parliamentary question to Vice President Fuat Oktay, asking about the efforts to find him.
She said that the family was not able to obtain information due to the confidentiality order on the investigation.

What is the fate of Hürmüz Diril? Are there search efforts to find him?
At what stage is the investigation concerning the murder of Şimuni Diril?
Is it true that there was a bullet mark in the back of Şimuni Diril but this wasn't included in the forensic medicine report?
Is the failure to find Hürmüz Diril and solve the murder of Şimuni Diril caused by the negligence and insufficient efforts of state institutions? (RT/VK)
