Timuçin Köprülü, assistant professor of law at Uludağ University who became subjected to disciplinary investigation for wearing a t-shirt that said “#resist”, was acquitted from all charges. He wore that t-shirt at a commencement ceremony.
Previously, a petition was launched in order to protest the disciplinary investigation. 699 academics worldwide join the cause.

"We are living a period where lies are considered as law and law is considered as lies. Lately, some say that our police is writing a ‘saga’. You don’t write a saga by killing protestors, blinding people, suffocation scores with gas bombs, dragging lawyers out of courtrooms or arresting ÇHD association advocates. It is actually then who wrote the saga. Thank you,” he said at his commencement speech.
