A fire has broken out in Müjdat Gezen Art Center in İstanbul’s Kadıköy district.
Bottles and plastic gloves were found in the garden and trash box of the building as a result of the fire extinguishing.
Artist Müjdat Gezen told Sözcü newspaper it was an arson.
“It is an incident of arson. A man with beard crosses the street with a gas can and set [the building] on fire. The police work is ongoing. I hope it will be revealed as soon as possible”, Gezen said.
Müjdat Gezen Art Center was targeted by pro-government AKİT TV last week. (BK/TK)
