According to a report released by Worker Health and Occupational Safety, at least 139 workers died on the job in March.
Among the deceased workers, 13 were women, 126 were men. 4 were children, 47 were elderly and 16 were immigrants, the report said.
As the spring arrived, more causalities were reported in the agriculture sector. In this sector, 41 workers who served as seasonal agriculture worker, peasant, shepherd, forest worker and fishermen lost their lives. (NV/BM)
