Zeljko Bojanic, a gang leader from Serbia sought by Interpol with red notice for drug smuggling was caught in his villa yesterday (November 6) in Sarıyer, İstanbul. Bojanic was also accused of killing Risto Mijonovik from Serbia.
The police operation to Bajonic's residence was revealed after Fatih Altaylı, a renowned journalist, disclosed it together with a short video in a tweet yesterday, (October 6).
Altaylı wrote in his tweet, "The place is the Ormanada housing estate in Sarıyer, İstanbul. The garden of this house is being dug by the police for three days. It is the garden of a mafia leader who has been living here since 2014. Allegedly the mafia leader has been detained. Dead bodies of three women said to be found. Claims are that they were drug couriers."
Also, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu posted a tweet yesterday in Turkish and Serbian, adressing the "cartels."
I told you that dirty money would bring its owners also. All mafia pricks are now in our cities together with their money. Now we are searching for cadavers in their gardens. What you see is only a drop in the ocean," he wrote.
"I am calling out to the cartels; leave our cities. We will wipe you off. Take your money and go. We do not have even one child to sacrifice to you."
Srpski karteli; napustite naše gradove! Ne želimo vaši prljavi novac. Upozoravam vas, izgubićete glave. Nemamo ni jedno dete da vam žrtvujemo...
