The Ministry of Interior has banned grocery stores from selling goods other than basic needs during the 17-day lockdown.
The ban will be in place between May 7 and 17 and includes electronics, toys, stationary equipment, hardware, glassware and clothing, according to a circular sent by the ministry to the governors of all 81 provinces.
Shops selling such products are already closed due to the lockdown.
Grocery stores will be restricted to basic food and hygiene products, animal food and cosmetics.
The ministry previously banned grocery stores from selling alcoholic beverages.
Grocery chains currently work between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are closed on Sundays. (TP/VK)
