Minister of Education İsmet Yılmaz told state-run Anadolu Agency 483,000 of the 850,000 Syrians at the age to receive education are provided education.
Noting that the number of Syrian students studying at public schools was below 50,000, the minister stated this figure increased to 181,193 this year.
“We will integrate all of the Syrians into our education system in the upcoming year. We will provide them the same education as we do to our own children.
“The total number of Syrian students is 483,000. This corresponds to approximately half of the Syrians who are at the age to receive education. This ratio was one-third in the past, now heading towards two-third”. (YY/TK)
