The number of people who have received at least two doses of the coronavirus vaccine has exceeded the half of Turkey's population, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca has said.
"The share of those received two vaccine doses in 84 million people exceeded 50 percent, and the rate in the population aged 18 years and above exceeded 68 percent," Koca said on Twitter late yesterday (September 22).
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health announced that 455,001 people had been inoculated in a day. The ministry also reported 29,338 coronavirus cases and 260 deaths.
So far, 42.5 million people have received two vaccine doses and 9.9 million received three doses, according to the ministry. Some 106.6 million doses have been administered in total. (AS/VK)
