İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Spokesperson Murat Ongun confirmed that they had increased security after they were warned by the Directorate but didn't mention "nabbed suspects."
The İstanbul Security Directorate released a statement later, saying that there were "no attempts as reported".
Soylu told reporters that the directorate's statement was sufficient.
They usually receive 65 to 80 reports of possible attacks in a week, he said and added that they took the necessary measures and don't want them to be shared with the public.
Earlier, Mayor İmamoğlu said that his security was partially increased but his life didn't change. (EKN/VK)
