A minibus with refugees on board had an accident in Muradiye district of Turkey's eastern province of Van yesterday (July 11).
With its number of passengers exceeding its capacity, the minibus rolled over near the Yumaklı Neighborhood.
As reported by the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), paramedics, fire brigade teams, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) teams and the gendarmerie were referred to the scene of the incident.

While the minibus burst into flames, the fire was put out by the teams. Following the first medical intervention, the wounded were referred to the hospitals in Van city center and Erciş and Muradiye district.
At least 12 people have reportedly lost their lives in the accident while 20 people have been injured. (RT/SD)
