Military Warning Was a Press Release
An administrative court has decided that the Internet warning published on the General Staff website during the night of 27 April was a press release. The complaint has been referred to the Ministry of Defence.
Kemal Vuraldogan had sued for a symbolic 1 YTL compensation after the General Staff had published a warning on its Internet website during the night of 27 April. The publication was widely seen as containing the threat of a military coup and an attempt to interfere in politics.
