Lawyer Coskun said that the court, taking into account the period Tarhan has served in the military prison, overturned a lower military court's decision to sentence Tarhan to four years in prison.
Coskun expects the Military Court of Cassation to announce the decision within a week. "We are a bit disappointed because Mehmet will be taken to the military recruiting office," said Coskun. "If they insist on forcing him to serve in the military, the process can start all over again." (TK/EA/YE)
