A parked car exploded near the Çinili Mosque in the neighborhood of Eşrefpaşa in İzmir at 7:45 in the morning. According to ntvmsnbc.com, there was a military service bus with a civilian license plate and a service vehicle used by the riot police behind the car. Seven police officers, three soldiers and six civilians are injured.
According to Doğan News Agency (DHA), there was a violent car explosion in Yağhaneler region in İzmir while the police service vehicle was passing. There is a police quarter fifty meters from the scene.
One police officer is in critical condition
Colonel Ahmet Kılıç and privates Hüseyin Aslan and Murat Bekirgül were taken to Hatay Military Hospital. Wounded Abbas Kalender, Hüseyin Kirazbilek, Sacit Kaskatı, Hakan Babürhan and four police officers whose identities were not revealed are getting treated in the Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital.

The explosion shattered the windows of the buildings in the vicinity. Inspecting the scene, Izmir Governor Cahit Kıraç said they had blown up plastic explosives with a remote control.
One of the soldiers is in surgery
Interior Minister Beşir Atalay said, “They blew up another vehicle while the police service vehicle was passing. Seven police officers and three soldiers, who were in the vehicle, are injured.
