Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chair Devlet Bahçeli has been discarged from hospital. He was hospitalized for nausea.
MHP Vice-Chair Semih Yalçın has stated that examinations on Bahçeli has been going on and he is in good condition. Refuting the claims on social media that he had a brain hemorrhage and heart disease, Yalçın said Behçeli is conscious and able to speak.
"The condition of our chairperson is extremely good and perfect," he added, speaking to reporters in front of Başkent University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in the capital Ankara.
The MHP also released a statement, saying that Bahçeli went to the hospital for "routine controls for blood pressure and blood sugar."
Bahçeli was released from the hospital at around 3.30 p.m.
The MHP is allied with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) under the informal "Nation's Alliance." Behçeli has been leading the party since 1997. (AÖ/VK)
