According to data based on reports in local and national newspapers and news agencies, a compilation made by bianet revealed that male perpetrators left 22 women, 12 raped, 25 battered and 27 harassed in November 2013.
27 percent of slain women were seeking divorce or turning down compromise proposals.
58 percent of rape cases were reported in venues like apartment, school or abduction houses, 42 percent took place on the street.
74 percent of harassers were acquaintances of their victims.
Overall in 2013, male perpetrators left 190 women dead, 160 raped, 196 battered and 150 harassed.
Murder
In November, men killed 22 women and 3 men in 13 cities across Turkey. While four women were slain for seeking divorce, 2 were killed despite their complaint to the police and restraint order respectively.
It turned out that one man who strangled his daughter-in-law had previously been jailed for killing his wife.
Another man killed 3 people after being granted a parole for harassment charges.
568 percent of women were slain by either their husbands or ex-husbands.
October’s murder perpetrators included husband (13), ex-husband (2), fiancee (1), father-in-law (4), father (2), husband’s family members (1), thief (1) and harasser (1).
Most murders in November were performed with shutgun (2), rifle (1) and pistol (6), 7 were held with knives.
Other murders were committed by strangling (3), battering (1) and pushing off the balcony (1).
The murderers were aged between 19 to 79 years old; while female victims' ages differed from 18 to 80 in October 2013.
Murder cases were reported in the following cities: Adana (3), Ankara, Antep, Aydın, Balıkesir (2), Diyarbakır (2), Elazığ, Istanbul (6), Kayseri, Kocaeli, Kütahya, Malatya and Ordu.
Rape
In November, men raped 12 women and teenager girls in 11 cities across Turkey.
5 women were reportedly forced to prostitution.
While 5 women were raped by their acquaintances including brother-in-law (2), brother (1), teacher (1) and friend (1).
Rape venues in November were listed on the street (4), apartment (3), abduction (3), car (1) and school (1).
Among November rapists included 2 imams and 1 church pastor.
Rape cases have been reported from the following cities: Afyon, Antalya (2), Bolu, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Hakkari, İzmir, Mardin, Sakarya, Samsun and Tekirdağ.
Battery-Assault
In November, men battered 25 women in 18 cities across Turkey.
88 percent of women were battered by their acquaintances.
Violence perpetrators in November included husband (11), ex-husbands (3), lover (3), father (1), brother (3), son (1) and former son-in-law (1) and stranger (2).
While two women were severely battered by their husbands for seeking divorce, one man was issued a restraint order. One man surrendered to the police, supposing that he killed his wife.
While violence perpetrators were aged between 16 and 76, violence victims were aged between 19 and 51.
Violence cases were reported in the following cities: Adana (2), Ankara, Aydın, Bursa, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gebze, İstanbul (2), İzmir, Kırıkkale, Kocaeli (4), Konya (2), Manisa, Muğla, Samsun (2), Tekirdağ, Trabzon and Zonguldak.
Harassment
In November, 27 harassment cases were reported in 12 different cities across Turkey.
74 percent of harassers were acquaintances of their victims.
Harassers in November were identified as relative (1), father (1), co-worker (2), father-in-law (1), neighbor (1), employer (1), teacher (1) and strangers (7).
Almost all child abuse cases were reported at schools in November. Another girl was harassed in a car where she forced into.
The nature of harassment were listed as follows:on the street (4), apartment (3), workplace (2), elevator (1) and by phone (2).
While harassment perpetrators were aged between 25 and 82, harassment victims were aged between 13 and 41.
Harassment cases in November were reported in the following cities: Afyon, Antep (12), Aydın, Bartın, İstanbul (3), İzmir (2), İzmit, Konya, Nevşehir, Osmaniye, Samsun and Trabzon (2).
Retaliation to male violence
In November, three retaliation to male violence cases were reported.
In Sakarya and İstanbul, two men murdered their violent brother-in-laws. In Konya, brothers of violence victim woman raided an apartment with shotguns, injuring 7 people.

In November 2013, 89 cases of violence against women, murder, attempted murder, harassment, rape, injury and child abuse were reported across 34 provinces across Turkey.
