After it was understood that Assoc. Prof. Abdüssamed K., the Head of Psychology Department of Marmara University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, had been arrested for "online solicitation of a minor" in Texas, the United States (US) in 2015, he has resigned from office.

Marmara University has shared the news in a tweet: "Assoc. Prof. Abdüssamed K., a lecturer at the Psychology Department of our university's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, has resigned from faculty membership."

As reported by Evrim Kepenek from bianet yesterday (January 15), arrested for "online solicitation of a minor" in Texas in 2015, Abdussamed K. came back to Turkey upon the suspension of his physician-in-training permit and became the Head of Psychology Department at Marmara University Faculty of Arts and Sciences in İstanbul.
