According to data compiled by bianet, male violence left 12 women dead, and 14 raped in December 2012. The most male violence cases were reported in Istanbul.

* In Antalya F.G. (36) abducted Ş.Ü. (19) and raped her for 4 days in an abduction house.

Suicide
* In Istanbul Ş.A. committed suicide the same night as her husband Y.A. punched her in the face. Prosecutors charged Y.A. with assault to serve 1.5 years of prison.
Sexual harassment
* In Istanbul Ö.Ç. (43), who introduced himself as MD sexually harassed a woman and blackmailed her, was arrested upon the female victim's complaint.
Witness protection
* 8 women from various cities have been registered under witness protection program due to lack of security measures.
December 3

* In Istanbul O.B. stabbed and threatened his wife S.B. (29) who wanted to divorce him. Following the incident reported by the female victim on the phone, police registered the domestic violence application and issued protection order for the victim.
Sexual harassment
* In Alanya S.G., private math tutor, was arrested by a district court after having sexually harassed his minor student E.K.

Murder
* In Istanbul O.Ö. (24) murdered his lover Pınar Ünlüer (29) after a failed marriage proposal. Ünlüer's father claimed that his daughter previously reported a complaint to a police station in Gültepe, which was turned down by police officers who said "they would deal with that sort of cases".
Battery-Assault
* In Ankara İ.K. battered his wife F.S.K., a parliamentary deputy. Sincan 4th High Criminal Court gave a 6 month restraining order to the violent husband with prosecutors charging him to a prison sentence between 3.5 to 7 years.
Sexual harassment
* In Istanbul E.T., a waiter, sexually harassed his customer D.A. Police released E.T after his testimony upon D.A.'s complaint.
* In Tekirdağ H.M. (31), sexually harassed 8 different women in apartment building entries and elevators. "I regret what I have done, but I can't hold myself. This is an illness," H.M. said. He was released pending a trial.
Rape
* In Istanbul T.O. (21) raped N.M. (54) in his apartment with the pretext of asking for help on his washing machine. T.O. was arrested.
* In Izmit H.B. raped his wife S.B. (23). Police detained H.B. upon S.B.'s complaint.
December 5
Murder
* In Mardin A.Y. murder his wife Emine Yılmaz by cutting her throat. Police seized A.Y. after his children fled to neighbors' apartment and reported the case.
Rape
* In Izmit H.B. (30) raped his wife S.B. (22). Police detained H.B. and had him submit testimony.
December 6
Murder
* In Istanbul M.S. (57) murdered his separated wife Dilek Sökmen (51) with a pistol. Following the incident, M.S. surrendered to police.
Battery-Assault
* In Alanya H.K. (46) battered and threatened his wife despite court restraining order. H.K. received three months of judicial control after having attacked police officers.
* In Konya İ.T. (36) battered his wife A.T. (29). While the female victim was hospitalized, police detained İ.T.

* In Bursa M.M. (55) murdered his wife Kadriye Menkeş (50) with an axe as she was sleeping.

* In Antalya 2 men abducted and battered P.B. by threatening with a knife as she was returning home from work. P.B., who grabbed a knife and locked herself to the porch, shouted for help next morning.
Suicide
* In Adana S.B. (27) committed suicide after her husband accused him of theft and forcefully striping her naked to search her belongings. The suicidal mother's daughter claimed that she was already planning to commit suicide due to domestic violence.
December 8
Murder
* In Van H.B. murdered his ex-lover Gülşah Aktürk (27) with his unlicensed pistol despite a six-month restraining order. Aktürk broke up with H.B. months ago and filed an official complaint for H.B. on October 1. Aktürk, who wanted to transfer from Van to Konya at work, submitted another complaint on Van vice- governor Zafer Coşkun who reportedly told her that "her worst outcome was probably death".

Rape
* In Adana O.S., a convict on permission, attempted to rape his tenant N.C. (36) who was saved by neighbors following her screams for help. Caught immediately, O.S. has been charged with 22 years of prison.
December 10
Rape
* In Istanbul E.D. threatened his recent acquaintance N.E. with a knife and raped her. Following the incident, 3 other friends of E.D. raped the victim as well. Upon N.E.'s complaint, a court arrested E.D. and issued arrest warrant for the three suspects.
December 12
Battery-Assault
* In Adana A.D. battered his religiously-wed wife F.Ç. (46) despite a three month court restraining order. Fed up with being battered over 20 years, the woman set herself on fire. Police saved the woman from burning and detained the religiously-wed husband.
* In Adıyaman H.A.M. attacked his daughter K.M. (28) at the women's shelter. Police detained H.A.M.
Sexual harassment
* In Erzurum Y.U. sexually harassed T.C. as she was waiting in the hospital line. Police detained Y.U. upon T.C.'s complaint.
* In Zonguldak H.K. (29), a cleaning staff at hospital, has been detained by the police after 3 women harassment claims over the phone.
December 13
Battery-Assault
* In Adıyaman K.K. stabbed his daughter H.K. (16) with a knife after he saw her hanging out with friends. K.K. along with his son M.K. continued attacking H.K. as she fell on the floor. Police nearby the scene transferred H.K. to hospital and detained the two men.
Suicide
* In Zonguldak A.C. (16) committed suicide after a court sentenced her rapist Ü.A. to 5 months of prison but delayed its announcement.
Rape
* In Eskişehir F.U. (25) attempted to rape B.M. (19) whom he met over internet. In panic, B.M. cut F.U.'s sexual organ. While the rapist has been hospitalized, the woman was detained by the police.
* In Şanlıurfa 3 men working at various departments in a university hospital raped a 13 year old orphan girl after having abducted her from orphan house and driving her to the woods. Found wounded on the highway, the girl has been hospitalized. A court found 3 men guilty of rape and ordered their imprisonment in Şanlıurfa Prison.
December 14
Murder
* In Konya M.Ç. (25) strangled his lover Emel Sayın (33) to death. It was found out later on that the victim submitted 13 official complaints to police regarding attacking and threatening.
Rape
* In Kayseri and Manisa 61 men have been detained by the police for sexually harassing 16 year old T.P. While the moral department police released 13 suspects after their testimonies, 23 suspects - including 6 minors - have been charged by the prosecutor for trial. While the court released 22 suspects pending a trial, 16 year old K.Ö., who was suspected to be one of the first perpetrators, has been arrested.
December 15
Rape
* In Diyarbakır E.K. and M.T. raped B.A. (19) while being hospitalized at Diyarbakır Education and Research Hospital. Following the incident, suspects ran away.
Retaliation to Male Violence
* In Istanbul a turmoil between the parties in an Üsküdar district court left Yılmaz Karaağaç (34) dead after being stabbed with a knife. Police detained 25 individuals following the incident that left 7 people (2 of which were critical) wounded.
December 16
Murder
* In Istanbul Günce Hatun, a trans woman, has been found dead on a bridge. İ.K., who was loitering around the scene on December 17, admitted his crime. The court arrested İ.K.
Rape
* In Yalova D.Z. (52) broke through the apartment of İ.C. (82) attempted to rape her. Following the woman's screams for help, D.Z. ran away after slapping her and grabbing a ring from her finger. Police detained D.Z. the day after.
Sexual harassment
* In Ankara inmates from Sincan Women Prison claimed that they have been stripped naked, searched thoroughly and attacked by a group of women prison guard who call themselves "The A Team", before and after they have left for court hearings.

* In Diyarbakır an unidentified man threatened and battered a woman on the street. While onlookers ignored the incident, police arrived to the scene as the aforementioned man and woman vanished.
Sexual harassment
* In Yozgat a mayor who has been convicted with sexual harassment but remained in office, fired his secretary whom he harassed. The woman filed a complaint to governor's office.
* In Istanbul E.A., receptionist at Boğaziçi University student residence, sexually harassed E.R.M. A prosecutor launched an investigation on E.A.
* In Ankara A.K., an intelligence petty officer, harassed his ex-spouse H.D. On the phone and shared her photos on the internet. The woman filed a complaint to the parliament, claiming that her ex-spouse found her new phone number abusing his duties. A parliamentary commission admitted the complaint request, which led a defense ministry investigation on A.K.
December 18
Murder
* In Kayseri retired chief police officer Ö.T. (60) murdered his wife Meliha Topçu (57) with his pistol.
* In Adana İ.Ö. (23) murdered his wife Cennet Özkahya (22) with a kitchen knife. Following the incident, İ.Ö. committed suicide with a rifle.
Rape
* In Izmir D.Ö., M.Y., E.Ç., H.İ.A, Ç.Ö., E.Ş., and H.A. raped their neighbor G.S. (33) in her apartment. Blackmailing the woman with pictures they took on the night of the incident, the gang continued their raped in various locations including apartments and woods. Police detained the gang after G.S. revealed everything to her husband.

* In Kütahya A.T. (31) murdered his wife Ö.T.'yi (22), claiming that she didn't get a permission to go out to see a friend from him. Police escorted the hosting couple to the police station for testimony.
* In Sakarya H.A. battered his wife G.A., leaving her hospitalized following the incident.

* In Sakarya E.E. attacked his wife P.E., leaving her hospitalized. The local gendarmerie launched an investigation.
December 20
Rape
* In Istanbul H.C. (32), who introduced himself as a cult leader and promised to purify their apartment from the judgment day with prayer, raped K.B. (26) and S.B. (24) after putting sleeping pills in their drinks. Police captured H.C. in a Turkish bath briefly after incident with the help of street surveillance cameras.

* In Bursa M.K. (20), who recently completed his compulsory military service, attacked his lover İ.E. on the street.
* In Kayseri M.D. (32), who was temporarily released from prison, stabbed S.Ç. whom he divorced 10 years ago. While the woman got hospitalized, murder convict M.D. has been sent back to prison.
Rape
* In Urfa M.U. fired his gun on the ground that his newly wed wife "was not a virgin". Following the incident, M.U. captured his sister-in-law F.C. and raped her at friend's apartment. M.U. brought F.C. back to her father's apartment following the incident.

* In Ardahan M.A. (33) cut his wife Zeynep Ağamolla's (33) head with a knife and threw it out of the window. Previously diagnosed with schizophrenia, M.A. has been released by the police after psychiatrists injected him a tranquilizer shot.
December 25
Murder
* In Batman Hasret Daşlı (22), who got pregnant after being by her two cousins, has been murdered by the order of family council. Her body has been thrown into Batman river. A local district court arrested E.D. (declared father), Y.D. (grandfather), H.D. (uncle) for charges related to the murder of Hasret Daşlı. The victim's funeral, which waited unclaimed in the morgue for days, has been held with the participation of women right activist, police officers and governor. She was buried without a shroud.

* In Kocaeli E.A. battered his wife A.A. Following the battery, the furious husband attempted to stab the wife with a knife, which was prevented by neighbors. Police detained E.A. and released him after his testimony.
* In Kocaeli Ş.G. (57) attacked his wife S.G. (60) and wounded her with a pistol. While the woman got hospitalized, a local district court arrested Ş.G.
December 28
Rape
* In Istanbul R.G. (26) raped his wife's friend S.C who was staying by their apartment. Claiming that he was a sleepwalker and under the influence of alcohol, R.G. said he confused the host woman as his wife. A court released R.G. pending a trial.

Murder
* In Diyarbakır Ö.V. (24) murdered his religiously-wed wife Gülcan Kodaş with his unlicensed pistol and committed suicide afterwards. (ÇT/BM)
